This year the Ballina Shire Concert Band is turning 140 years old. The Band (originally known as the Ballina Brass Band) was first formed in 1883 and is one of the longest continuous serving bands in Australia. To celebrate this impressive milestone, the Ballina Shire Concert Band will be hosting a 140th Anniversary Concert for the community on 6 May at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre, featuring music and memorabilia from 1883 to 2023.

The general public is invited to come along and enjoy a musical journey spanning the past 140 years. Ticketing information can be found on the Band’s Facebook page and website. It is bound to be a concert to remember!
