ANGUS MCDONALD BRINGS HIS DOCUMENTARY, FREEDOM IS BEAUTIFUL, TO LENNOX FRESH FROM ITS SYDNEY FILM FESTIVAL PREMIERE
Local artist and filmmaker Angus McDonald’s first feature film, FREEDOM IS BEAUTIFUL, premieres at the 70th Sydney Film Festival in early June.
Two years in the making, much of the 70 min documentary was shot in this region around Lennox Head.
“Moz and Farhad spent lots of time up here shooting Freedom Is Beautiful and fell in love with Lennox. Many people working on the project were from here as well so I’m really excited we can share the film with my community straight after it premieres in Sydney, before it moves on to international festivals. It’s going to be a wonderful.”
FREEDOM IS BEAUTIFUL screens on Saturday 24th June at the Lennox Community Centre, followed by a Q&A .
Doors open at 6pm.
